You...I hope for a speedy recovery for your husband. Your poem about his condition is a stark depiction of his reality, especially in the last five lines -- that picture of him there is such a strong image.

My prayers are with you. Be blessed.S.L. I'm so glad that you could get here. I...GUYS!!!
I'm so glad that you could get here. I think the loading is getting faster.

Thank you for the great comment about my poem. His calcium is going down, but they are still not sure what is causing it. He has what Kareem Adbul Jabbar has, CLL, and the doctors think it might have gotten worse and that is what is causing the high calcium. But his white blood cell count is low, so they're not so sure. He still has to see the parathyroid specialist, but he also needs to have a bone marrow test. He may come home, but then he'll still need to be seeing doctors and taking medications to lower his calcium.

I appreciate your empathy for my distress. He is getting more alert and tonight he walked down the hall.:) It's so hard to see him this way and I'm hoping that the doctors will soon have the answer and will be able to treat him.Barbara Ehrentreuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06317588534441254146noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-349886618037006192.post-81131070078765141212010-04-27T06:15:21.062-07:002010-04-27T06:15:21.062-07:00I'm so sorry your husband isn't feeling we...I'm so sorry your husband isn't feeling well.

When I read this:

"The water pushes through
like a roaring brook through your
blood seeking out and pushing
forward granules of calcium"

And when you talk about the poison, I can just picture it so clearly in my mind.

Hang in there.The Guy's Perspectivehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10510543601654572968noreply@blogger.com
